Dar Tozeur (Dar = house) is a large riad set up in the heart of the Medina, the old town of Tozeur. Behind its heavy studded door hides a haven of peace composed of several interior courtyards where vegetation abounds, seven completely different suites, two swimming pools, a spa, indoor and outdoor lounges, terraces over the city and many other secrets.
The house was built in 2008. It is a recent construction on the site of very old residences in poor condition in the Medina. Its architecture reflects the main principles of Tozeur’s constructions, such as the sand-coloured brick walls that draw geometric patterns in relief.
Its architectural drawing, designed by a Tunisian architect, includes in its design a use as a guest house for Tunisian and international clients. Most of the decorative elements were found among Tunisian craftsmen and antique dealers.
